New Start

I've been playing music just shy of a decade now. Singing in bars, gas station corners, campfires, truck trailers, weddings, birthday's...for each one I am thankful. Thankful for the opportunity to do what I love, and to see you enjoy it with me. But, I've become complacent. I've grown tired of the same set lists, the same self expectations. I don't know if you know this, but musicians don't always feel like playing music. We have our bad days, days where we give up. Times where we want to break our instruments and just say "forget it". Until we step back onto that stage, and you guys give us the energy we need. There have been numerous times where I just didn't want to. It's not that I was tired of music, it's because I'm exhausted from the day. The mundane. Performing is good for the soul. Singing with your pals is great for your heart. Doing what you were born to do-that's irreplaceable. Doing what you love gives you life. We're a different breed, musicians. You may not understand why we are the way we are. And that's ok.
